KTMPO Awards STP-MM (Category 7) Funding
At the September meeting, the Transportation Planning Policy Board (TPPB) scored the nominated projects for the STP-MM (Category 7) Funding available to KTMPO. Of the $5.8 million allocated for roadway projects (90% of the total funding), the Policy Board voted to award the requested project match to the following entities and projects: 1) the West Ninth Avenue Extension & Bridge in Belton, 2) Trimmier Widening in Killeen, and 3) Courtney Lane Sidewalk Improvements in Copperas Cove. Hill Country Transit District was awarded 10% of the total funding for the purchase of two new buses.
