Public Meeting & Comments for the Proposed FY2025-2028 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP)

Members of the public may submit comments in person during our meetings, hearings, workshops, and other scheduled events. Contact KTMPO staff prior to the event in order to sign up. Please limit comments to 3 minutes. No discussion or final action will be taken by the Board.

Killeen-Temple MPO is seeking public comment on the development of the Draft FY2025-2028 Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP).
We need people from all professions, interests, neighborhoods, and abilities to represent the community, share feedback, and provide input about community-specific transportation issues and concerns that may otherwise be unknown.
The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is a 4-year transportation planning document that includes a detailed listing of projects reasonably expected to be let within a four-year period. A new TIP is developed every 2 years with the current TIP (covering FY23 to FY26) first approved in May 2022.
Projects included in the TIP must be consistent with the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) and are chosen based on regional priority and available funding. The TxDOT Waco District and KTMPO have begun coordinating to complete a draft FY2025-20288 TIP using the draft 2025 Unified Transportation Plan (UTP) funding forecasts.
The final FY2025-2028 TIP must be submitted to TxDOT by June 18, 2024. A timeline for the STIP is included in your packet for review.
