October 5 is Walk to School Day!
Tomorrow is Walk to School Day! Organized by the Partnership for a Walkable America, Walk to School Day began in 1997. In 2000, the USA, UK and Canada joined together for the first International Walk to School Day. The purpose of Walk to School Day is to raise awareness the benefits of walking as a mode of transportation. KTMPO is encouraging all throughout Central Texas to walk throughout the month of October to help promote walking as a viable means of transportation.
