Public Input for KTMPO Transportation Planning Certification Review
February 25, 2015 @ 5:00 pm
Federal regulations require the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) conduct a joint transportation planning certification review at least once every four years for large metropolitan areas.
For the Killeen – Temple metropolitan area, the transportation planning process is conducted by the Transportation Planning Policy Board (TPPB) of the KTMPO. This process is done in cooperation with the region’s transportation provider (Hill Country Transit District), as well as other governments (i.e., county, city) throughout the region.
Representatives from the FHWA and the FTA will conduct a Listening Session to receive public comment on the metropolitan transportation planning process:
February 25, 2015, 5:00 pm
Central Texas Council of Governments Building
2180 North Main Street,
Belton, Texas 76513
You may use the Public Input Form to participate in the formal certification review of the transportation planning process.
Please provide your responses to FHWA or FTA no later than March 27, 2015.
The HOP provides public transit service to the meeting location; however, special arrangements may be needed for the return trip since the listening session may end after The HOP’s regular service hours. Contact The HOP at 254-933-3700, ext. 5012 no later than 5 p.m. on February 23rd to schedule the return trip.
The Killeen-Temple Metropolitan Planning Organization is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Reasonable accommodations and equal opportunity for effective communications will be provided upon request. Please contact the KTMPO office at 254-770-2200 at least 24 hours in advance if accommodation is needed.
Members of the public may submit comments in person during our meetings, hearings, workshops and other scheduled events. Contact KTMPO staff prior to the event in order to sign up. Please limit comments to 3 minutes. No discussion or final action will be taken by the Board.
