Promoting Livability In The Transportation Planning Process

March 5, 2018 @ 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

Join the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and Federal Transit
Administration (FTA) in partnership with the Killeen‐Temple Metropolitan
Planning Organization (MPO), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the
U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to discuss how to improve livability
within and around the Killeen‐Temple metropolitan planning area.

Guest speakers for each federal agency will provide an overview of available
grant programs and policies & procedures intended to advance the concept of
livable communities as part of the federal‐aid program. Learn about how the
Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) can assist in prioritizing livability-related
projects and programs as part of its “3‐C” planning process to improve
the quality of life and sustainability of its region and neighboring communities
well into the 21st Century and beyond.
