Freeway Widening — US 190 — Coryell County

WACO – Starting next week, Monday February 16, TxDOT and its contractor will start a project that will reconstruct and widen US 190 in Copperas Cove from Clark Road to the Lampasas County Line. The project will widen the current two-lane road to a four-lane divided highway. Additionally, crews will reconstruct the US 190 and FM 2657 intersection, including a new US 190 overpass.
The project will add capacity in the project corridor and improve current and future mobility.
There will be various lane closures throughout the project, which is scheduled to end in early 2029.
The contractor on the ~$107.5-million-dollar project is James Construction Group.
