FHWA Fact Sheets
FHWA recently published several fact sheets explaining the challenges and opportunities available under the new Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act, also known as the “FAST Act”. We’ve added links to them on our MPO 101 page.

Contained in the bill are changes to how projects are reviewed 
under NEPA as well as improvements to the nation’s rail and transit infrastructure. The FAST Act has designated a new Interstate right in our backyard, opening the door to rename US 190 to I-14. As sections are evaluated against the design standards for interstate highways, local districts will make the change by adding new signs and updating maps.
