2020 National Walk to School Resolution
At their September 16, meeting the TPPB approved the resolution recognizing October as Walk to School Month and October 7th as Walk to School Day.
According to the National Center for Safe Routes to School, International Walk to School Day began in 1997 as a one-day event in support of a movement for year-round safe routes to school. The event helps promote health and safer routes for students to walk and bike to school.
